Is Joy Ride a good movie? ›

Joy Ride is one hell of a trip and one that you will be on board with early on and that rewards more as it progresses. Fresh score. Fresh takes, classic gags, and excellent performances from its leads elevate an occasionally clunky and very packed script into something well worth watching.

Fresh score. The film yields every now and then so viewers can catch their breath, but once this taut and frantic thriller picks up speed again, Joy Ride earns its place as one of the best movies of its kind.
