@GermanHorn came up with the idea to look at how Duncanville recruits have fared over the last 10 years. Since 2015, they have had 51 kids receive a composite ranking. In that time, there has been 1 5 Star recruit (Colin Simmons), 10 4 star recruits, 33 3 star recruits, and 7 2 star recruits. They have also had 6 guys be ranked in the Top 100 Nationally (Collin Simmons, Marquez Beason, Ja'quindan Jackson, Savion Byrd, Omari Abor, & Caden Durham)
Of the 51 recruits, 23 have transferred at least 1 time, with 5 of them being multiple time transfers.
Draw whatever conclusions you want from this information, I'm not trying to sway you one way or the other on anything

24 total tackles in 30 career games. Entered portal in Feb 2019, but didn’t land anywhere

Ended up playing TE and was mainly a blocking TE. Was named 2nd Team All-Conference in 2018
WR Xavier Brown - .7533 (#384 in state). ULM
80 catches for 1067 yards and 9 TDs in 5 seasons. Limited to 9 games in his last 2 seasons. Now the WR coach at Duncanville
DL Marcel Southall - .8911 (#55 in state). Texas
Never played at Texas. Went to Tyler JC and then transferred to FAU. Played in 34 games in 4 years. Finished with 37 tackles and 3.5 TFLs
CB Bailey Phillips - .8250 (#172 in state)
Was committed to Tennessee at one point. Never went anywhere and seems to have ended up arrested and charged with murder

3 year starter. 178 Tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 6 INTs, 4 TDs at Fresno St. All-MWC Honorable Mention in 2017 and 2018. Didn’t make it to the NFL

Moved to DL. Played in 50 games in 6 seasons. Was never a starter. 42 Tackles, 2 TFLs in career
ATH Jaylin Nelson - .8361 (#172 in state). Texas St
Ended up a RB. Played in 24 games at Texas St. Had 36 rushes for 144 yards. Transferred to Texas Southern where he played 4 games in 2 years and had 9 rushes for 66 yards.
WR/RB Tre Siggers - .8230 (#218 in state). UNT
Mainly played RB by the time he got to college. Played 26 games at UNT. Had 237 attempts for 1211 yards and 7 TDs. 2019 All-CUSA Honorable Mention. Transferred to SMU for 2 seasons. Played in 15 games there and had 207 attempts for 956 yards and 13 TDs. Played his last season at Incarnate Word where he only played 6 games and had 40 attempts for 199 yards and 2 TDs

Just finished career at SMU. Played in 53 games over 5 seasons. Recorded 34 tackles, 5 TFLs, 1.5 Sacks, and 1 INT. Now trying to be a Chef
CB Marquez Beason - .9564 (#17 in state, #99 in country). Illinois
Played 1 year at Illinois. Appeared in 7 games and finished with 7 tackles. Transferred to Alabama A&M. Has played in 15 games and recorded 23 tackles and 1 INT. Also has a 56 yard receiving TD. Should still be on roster for this upcoming season, which will be his last in college
SAF Stacy Brown - .8541 (#139 in state). Mizzou
Played in 28 games in 3 seasons. Had 14 tackles. Was arrested and suspended from team in 2022 and transferred to Prairie View A&M. Played in 9 games over 2 seasons there. Recorded 38 tackles
CB Tre’Shon Devones - .8367 (#205 in state). Rice
Played in 35 games over 4 seasons. Started this past season. Recorded 76 Tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 2 INTs, and 14 PDs in his time at Rice. Now playing his final season at Duke this year.
DL De’Braylon Carroll - .8206 (#274 in state). Rice
Played in 42 games over 4 seasons. 3 year contributor and 1 year starter. Recorded 102 Tackles, 19 TFLs, 7 Sacks. 2023 3rd Team All-AAC. 2020 All-CUSA Honorable Mention. Grad transfer at Texas Tech for this upcoming season.
QB/RB Ja’Quinden Jackson - .9663 (#10 in state, #73 in country). Texas
Didn’t see any action at Texas and transferred to Utah. Played in 25 games there and moved to RB. Recorded 245 rushing attempts for 1358 yards and 14 TDs. Was their starting RB this past season. Transferred to Arkansas for this upcoming season where he will be the starting RB. Either has 1 or 2 years left to play (don’t know if he has a Covid year available)
SAF Chris Thompson Jr - .9215 (#17 in State). Auburn
Was at Auburn for 1 season. Appeared in 6 games and recorded 8 Tackles. Transferred to USC where he moved to LB. Only appeared in 26 games over 3 seasons and recorded 21 Tackles and 1 TFL. Transferred to Tulsa for this upcoming season and has 2 years left to play
WR Zeriah Beason - .8652 (#100 in state). Oregon St
Plated in 20 games over 2 years at Oregon St. Recorded 36 catches for 384 yards and 4 TDs. Transferred to Washington St but didn’t play. Ended up dropping down to JUCO for a year before going to Troy. Will be his first season at Troy this year.
CB Ennis Rakestraw - .8622 (#107 in state). Mizzou
4 year contributor and started either 3 or 4 years. Seemed to be a little injury prone, but good player. Recorded 107 Tackles, 8 TFLs, 1 Sack, 1 INT, & 24 PDs in his time at Mizzou. Was taken in the 2nd round by the Detriot Lions this year
DL James Mitchell - .8500 (#149 in state). Colorado St
Has appeared in 35 games over 4 seasons, and hasn’t been a starter. Recorded 43 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks so far in his career. Still at Colorado St for this upcoming season
RB Trysten Smith - .8267 (#274 in state). Central Arkansas
Played in 17 games over 3 seasons at UCA. Recorded 96 rushing attempts for 410 yards and 1 TD. Transferred to D2 UA-Monticello where I can’t find any stats, but I assume he’s still there for this upcoming season
OL Savion Byrd - .9706 (#12 in state, #64 in country). Oklahoma
Played in 21 games over 3 seasons at Oklahoma, starting 6. Transferred to SMU this offseason with 2 years left to play. I assume he’s in line to start this year

Appeared in 25 games over 3 seasons at Alabama. Recorded 25 Tackles and 2 TFLs. Transferred to Texas for Spring Ball, but has since transferred again to UTSA for his final year of eligibility

Never a full time starter, but a 3 year contributor at SMU. Has appeared in 38 games over his 3 seasons. Recorded 64 catches for 822 yards and 8 TDs. Is also SMU’s punt returner averaging 10.9 yards per return and scoring a TD. Was named 2nd Team All-AAC this past season. Has 1 year left to play and is still at SMU

Was the starter in 2022, but was limited to 3 games this past season. Has appeared in 20 games over 3 seasons. Has 2342 passing yards with a 13-12 TD-INT ratio in his career. Also recorded 256 rushing yards and 4 rushing TDs. Transferred to Boston College for this upcoming season
